Experience – Sleep Education and Behavioural Issues

With over 30 years experience working with infants and children in Australia and Canada, I am dedicated, professional and committed to assisting your child to learn how to sleep well. I am based in British Columbia, Canada, but assist families all over the world!

Many new parents particularly feel isolated and have no support. I offer insightful information to assist these parents, but I also offer my support, giving parents the opportunity to learn to relax and enjoy their babies! No new parent wants to hear their baby screaming. Learning some very simple, practical tools will help baby learn how to achieve great sleep. Please remember that helping a child to sleep well is not solely about "the method". Many parents just try a "method" without addressing what is really causing their child's sleeplessness. I address all possible issues that could be causing the child NOT to sleep, and fix them, which leaves the method to fall into place as the final touch to training.

As children learn how to sleep independently through the night, peace returns to the home and the whole family can enjoy each other more!

Over the years, I have developed practical tools to assist families with many complex situations. Sleep problems have been the focus of my interest for many years but often, behavioural problems go hand in hand with sleep deprivation. The toddler years can be particularly challenging and I can offer your family sensible, realistic tools to assist you in dealing with these behavioural issues also.

My knowledge and experience allows me to give parents practical and objective advice. I can make a difference to your family's life.

Parents are often amazed at the great improvements their child can make in as little as a few nights! Within this time frame, their babies or children can be sleeping through the night, which is often astounding to them!

The most common remark I hear from parents is, "I did not know she was capable of sleeping through the night! Thank you for giving us our lives back".

I pride myself on offering parents objective advice, looking from the outside in. I assist parents in implementing the tools I give them, if required. I believe in supporting parents emotionally as they educate their baby or child in a positive way on the road to more sleep.

In my conversations with parents, I stress the importance of their dedication to the plan. Their personalized sleep plan will be a new beginning for their family and it is through their commitment, dedication and perseverance with the plan/schedule, that real change is achieved.
